Why am I having so much trouble losing weight?
Protein makes you gain weight especially protein shakes. Lipton Green Tea has a ton of sugar in it 61 grams or something for a liter. Stick to just regular tea that you brew or Arizona Ice Tea in the green can, it only has 18 grams of sugar per liter. If you've only been at this a week, you won't see results right away, depends on how overweight you are and how good a shape you're in. You didn't gain it all in a week, you won't lose it all in a week. It takes at least 3 weeks to start seeing results from exercise and that's if you're doing it every day. Plus if you're out of shape you can't just go full out and start working out. You're body will not do that and it will take you longer to lose weight. Start gradual then work into a routine. Otherwise you're just exhausting yourself. You have to work up a sweat, get your heart rate up, if you're not you're just wasting your time. Special K is NOT diet food either, it's empty calories, try just fruit like bananas, which give you enough energy for a 90 minute strenuous workout, apples, and veggies like carrots, spinach, crunchy stuff you can snack on so you feel full faster. Also CUT your PORTIONS in HALF. This will help you eat less in a sitting, but eat MORE times a day, just eat SMALLER AMOUNTS. Whatever you do don't ignore your hunger because if you do you're body thinks it's starving and starts to store FAT. Eat less things that are white, white food is the STARCH kind of carb, which puts weight on you. Go for fiber, soluble carbs that are absorbed slowly. Also NEVER take yourself off your medication, especially if it's an anti-psychotic like Abilify, you'll just cause yourself more problems.
