What are some things that could help South Africa, become better than it is now?

If you are a foreigner, than understanding South Africa's problem is kind of hard. Considering the only thing you ever see on TV is the best of the best. As for the people living here, we see that this land is going to ****. Im proud to be South African, and i really don't care if the government is black, white, pink, or grey. Like i said i am proud to be South African, but not proud on what the country has become. What are your opinions of what could turn the tide of this corrupt power hungry time in South Africa
